Kingdom of Sweden

A military power during the 17th century, Sweden has not participated in any war in almost two centuries. An armed neutrality was preserved in both World Wars. Sweden's long-successful economic formula of a capitalist system interlarded with substantial welfare elements has recently been undermined by high unemployment, rising maintenance costs, and a declining position in world markets. Indecision over the country's role in the political and economic integration of Europe caused Sweden not to join the EU until 1995, and to forgo the introduction of the euro in 1999.

Swedish Units

Ground Units:

Strv 122 Leopard 2 Tank Unit: The Strv 122 is a upgraded version of the German Leopard 2 tank. Tanks are good against enemy tanks and vehicles. (Cost: 16)

Strv 121 Leopard 2 Tank Unit: The Strv 121 isn’t as strong as the Strv 122 but cheaper. . (Cost: 12)

Strv 103B Tank Unit: This is the famous ‘S-Tank’ that has no turret and has heavy front armor. It is good for defense. (Cost: 10)

Ikv 91 Light Tank Unit: The Ikv 91 is a light tank, it is new and has good electronics and a good gun. (Cost: 8)

CV 90 Mechanized Infantry Unit: These troops ride in the CV 90 Armored Infantry Vehicle. Mechanized Infantry is good against tanks and other vehicles. (Cost: 12)

Pbv 302 Mechanized Infantry Unit: This unit is the same as the one above but these troops ride in the older and less armored Pbv 302 Infantry Vehicle. (Cost: 8)

XA-203S Mechanized Infantry Unit: This unit uses the 6x6 wheeled XA-203S Infantry Vehicle. This unit is the same as the above ones but it uses a weaker vehicle. (Cost: 6)

Infantry Unit: This is the basic combat soldiers of the army. This unit has no vehicles to use in combat, only trucks to bring them to and from battlefields, during a battle they fight on foot. They are armed with assault rifles, grenades and light-machineguns. Foot infantry are good against anything but tanks and mechanized infantry. Infantry are very good at defending. (Cost: 5)

Airborne Infantry Paratrooper Unit: Airborne Paratrooper Infantry are the same as normal ‘Infantry Units’ but they can jump from transport planes to paradrop onto enemy units. Paratroopers have all the same advantages and disadvantages of normal infantry. (Cost: 10, can parajumps from C-130 Transport Aircraft Units, can be carried in Hpk 15 helicopter units)

PvRbbv 551 Anti-Tank Unit: This unit is a converted Pbv 302 Infantry Carrier that instead of troops carries anti-tank missiles. It is good against all vehicles. (Cost: 8)

Armored Recon Unit: This contain 4x4 trucks and wheeled recon vehicles. Having recon units in your attacks can increase your chances of victory. (Cost: 8, is a recon unit)

Towed Artillery Unit: Towed artillery are the standard truck-towed howitzers that many of you are common with. They are good against any ground unit at long range but they defeintly need to be protected as they are weak against any unit attacking them. (Cost: 5)

Bkan 1A Self-Propelled Artillery Unit: The Bkan 1A is a armored artillery unit. Long range artillery is good against enemy units but not when it is attacked. (Cost: 10)

RBS90 Anti-Aircraft Missile Unit: The RBS90 carries anti-aircraft missiles on a converted CV 90 vehicle. (Cost: 10)

ACV-90 Anti-Aircraft Unit: The ACV-90 is a converted CV-90 vehicle that carries twin 30mm anti-aircraft cannons in the turret. This unit is good against enemy helicopters and low flying aircraft. (cost: 7)

SSG Commando Unit: The SSG are some of the best special forces troops in the world. SSG Commandos may perform any of the commando operations listed under the ‘Special Forces Rules’ section of the INFO topic. (Cost: 14)

Engineer Unit: Engineer units can greatly help offensive and defensive operations, a player should have engineer units with all of their major operations. Engineer units include trucks, bull-dozers, engineer-tanks and other specialized engineering vehicles. They can help build defenses and help clear enemy defenses. (Cost: 10)

Air Units:

Saab JAS 39 ‘Gripen’ Fighter/Attack Unit: The ‘Gripen’ is the latest Swedish plane. It carries anti-aircraft and anti-ground weapons and is very advanced. (Cost: 14)

Saab JA 37 ‘Viggen’ Fighter Unit: The JA 37 is a dedicated fighter aircraft, it carries advanced anti-air weapons. (Cost: 12)

Saab AJ 37 ‘Viggen’ Attack Unit: The AJ 37 is Sweden’s main attack plane. It carries anti-ground missiles and bombs. (Cost: 10, can carry ‘1 plane dropped nuclear weapon load’)

Saab 35F ‘Draken’ Fighter Unit: The ‘Draken’ is a good interceptor and it carries good anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 8)

C-130 Air Transport Unit: The C-130 is a large transport plane. Each unit can carry 1 ground unit. (Cost: 12, can carry 1 ground unit)

S.100B ‘Argus’ Airborne Early Warning Unit: The S.100B is a special plane that carries a powerful RADAR system. When a player has a Early Warning Aircraft Unit in a battle he gives his aircraft all a better chance of winning. (Cost: 12, can help friendly aircraft in a battle)

S.100ASW Anti-Ship/Anti-Submarine Unit: The S.100ASW is a modified S.100B that carries torpedoes and depth charges instead of a large RADAR. This unit is good against enemy naval targets. (Cost: 12)

Hpk 15 Assault Transport Helicopter Unit: The Hpk 15 can carry 1 Paratrooper Infantry Unit. (Cost: 12, can carry 1 Paratrooper Infantry Unit)

Hpk 9 Attack Helicopter Unit: The Hpk 9 is a small and fast attack helicopter armed with anti-tank missiles and rockets. It is only good against enemy ground targets. (Cost: 9)

Hpk 14 Helicopter Transport Unit: The Hpk 14 can carry 1 infantry unit of any type. (Cost: 8, can carry 1 infantry unit of any type)

Aerial Recon Unit: This unit has special Unmanned Aerial Vehicle scout planes and recon versions of the Viggen to greatly assist battlefield intelligence. Having an aerial recon unit in your operations greatly increases your chance for success. (Cost: 12)

C-130 Air-Refueling Unit: This unit is a special unarmed aircraft that can refuel other aircraft mid-air. Each air-refueling unit can support up to 5 air units in a single strike/operation. They give these units unlimited range but the air-refueling unit must be in the air during the entire operation and it is vulnerable to enemy attack. (Cost: 20, is air-refueling unit)

Naval Units:

’Visby’ Class Corvette: The Visby is a good class of ship, it carries different advanced weapon systems and is generally good against all enemy units. (Cost: 14)

’Goteborg’ Class Missile Corvette: This ship carries large anti-ship missiles and other light surface weapons. (Cost: 12)

’Stockholm’ Class Missile Patrol Boat: The Stockholm class is good for fast missile attacks on enemy ships. They are fast and reliable. (Cost: 10)

’Karapen’ Class Patrol Boat: The Karapen class is best used to hunt enemy submarines, it carries advanced SONAR and depth charge systems. (Cost: 8).

Transport Ship: The Transport Ship is unarmed and has no armor. It can carry 2 ground units but only from one friendly harbor to another or to a beachhead that has been secured. (Cost: 16, carries 2 ground units)

’Najad’ Class Landing Ship: This ship has only limited anti-aircraft weapons but it can carry 1 ground unit to invade and land on enemy shores. (Cost: 14, can carry 1 ground unit)

Submarines:

’Gotland’ Class Diesel Powered Attack Submarine: One of the best diesel submarines ever built the Gotland carries advanced anti-ship and anti-submarine weapons. (Cost: 16)

’Vastergotland’ Class Diesel Powered Attack Submarine: A good anti-ship and anti-submarine defense sub, the Vastergotland has advanced SONAR systems. (Cost: 10)

Hello, just thought i'd point out the Swedish names of some of the units.

"Karapen" never heard of it before, but since "Karapen" is not a word in Swedish, and "Karpen" is, i think you just misspelled there.
