Ok Steel Panthers: Main Battle Tanks is a free and downloadable turn-based game that has a massive libary of units and covers the modern world's land battles from 1950 to 2010, you can represent just about any battle on any place.
The map editor and battle generator is very complex, the game is old and has poor graphics but it is a great tool for representing tactical combat
I think i could make a sytstem where it can be used to clacuate land battles
it has a AI vs AI system where you make a map, choose the units, choose the battle situation, and then let the AI "battle it out", i think we could use this to do land outcomes
it has everything, infantry, helicopters, artillery support, air-support, naval bombardments, ampbious assaults, paradrops, anything you can think of
it also allows you to make your own units, weapons
everything is editable

some shots of the game system:
the game is alomst 9 years old but the latest version was just released a week ago, quite a testiment to the staying power of this extremely capable engine
the tank armor and penetration system is very complex, taking into account ALOT of variables, including the newest jamming systems, ERA, etc...

sounds good, can see anyone accusing people of being biased, but i cant see any screenshots ![[Frown]](frown.gif) whould there be any way thatcountry leaders could watch the battle unfold if they wanted to?

hmmm i guess if a player wants to see a "scenario" they can download SP:MBT 1.5 (its about 40meg) and then i can send them the save game file and they can look over the battlefield
but they will need to have the game downloaded and tell me beforehand that they want me to save the game and upload it for em'

however still the admin / game mod should decide what the outcome is ![[Smile]](smile.gif) He should just use the way the AI plays the battle as a base of how things should go, and then apply the factors which he things the game can't handle.

install it first
then run "spmbt.exe" or whatever its called
