F-100D ‘Super Sabre’ Fighter/Attack Aircraft Unit: The F-100D is an single engine fighter-bomber. It carries 20mm cannons, rockets, anti-aircraft missiles and bombs. Its main mission is that of a fighter and attack plane. (Cost: 14)
F-102A ‘Delta Dagger’ Interceptor Aircraft Unit: The F-102A is a fast interceptor with a unique ‘delta’ wing. It carries cannon and anti-aircraft missiles for attacking enemy bombers and other aircraft. Its main mission is defense and interception of enemy planes. (Cost: 16)
F-106A ‘Delta Dart’ Interceptor Aircraft Unit: The F-106A is a heavily modified F-102A that has a better engine and better electronics. It carries good anti-aircraft missiles and is fast. Its main role is attacking enemy bombers. Both the 102 and 106 are not good dog-fighters, they are mainly long range ‘missile fighters’. (Cost: 18)
F-105D ‘Thunderchief’ Fighter/Attack Aircraft Unit: The F-105 is the largest single engine aircraft ever built, its very tough. It carries a 20mm cannon, bombs and anti-aircraft missiles. Its main role is of a fighter-bomber. It is also a good dog-fighter but its best mission is attacking enemy ground units. (Cost: 19)
F-104A ‘Starfighter’ Interceptor Aircraft Unit: The F-104 is a very fast interceptor that carries anti-aircraft missiles. Its main mission is to fly fast and high to catch enemy bombers and strike aircraft before they can attack American targets. The F-104 is better in a dog fight than the F-106 but it lacks the Delta Dart’s long range missile systems (Cost: 18)
F-101C ‘Voodoo’ Fighter Aircraft Unit: The F-101C is an all-weather fighter aircraft. The Voodoo carries a 20mm cannon and anti-aircraft missiles for attacking enemy aircraft. It is a good general-purpose fighter. (Cost: 15)
A-1E ‘Skyraider’ Attack Aircraft Unit: The A-1E is a propeller driven attack plane that carries cannons, rockets and bombs for attacking enemy ground units. It has no anti-aircraft weapons only anti-ground weapons. This propeller driven plane is reliable and rugged. (Cost: 14)
B-47B ‘Stratojet’ Strategic Bomber Aircraft Unit: The B-47 is a large 4 engine jet bomber. It carries a cannon in its tail for defense against enemy fighters and it carries a large bomb load. B-52C ‘Stratofortress’ Strategic Bomber Aircraft Unit: The B-52C is a very large 4 engine long range jet bomber. Its only defensive armament is a cannon in its tail, it carries a very large bomb load. Its main mission is to bomb enemy cities and ground targets. B-58A ‘Hustler’ Strategic Bomber Aircraft Unit: The B-58A is an advanced jet bomber that is made for high-speed, low level attacks on enemy cities and ground targets. It carries no defensive weapons other than its large bomb load. (Cost: 28, can carry 1 ‘plane dropped nuclear bomb load’)
B-66B ‘Destroyer’ Strike Bomber Aircraft Unit: The B-66B is a medium sized bomber that is meant for tactical strikes on enemy ground units and facilities. It carries a medium bomb load and cannons in its tail for defense. (Cost: 20)
C-130 ‘Hercules’ Transport Aircraft Unit: The C-130 is a 4 engine propeller driven transport that carries no weapons. It can carry 1 ground unit. (Cost: 16, can carry 1 ground unit, may also drop ‘Airborne Infantry’ for airborne assaults)
U-2 Recon Aircraft Unit: The U-2 is a very high altitude recon /spy plane. It carries no weapons but can fly higher than most enemy fighters and SAMs can reach. It can provide photographic and electronic intelligence. (Cost: 30, is recon plane)
P2V ‘Neptune’ Anti-Submarine Patrol Aircraft Unit: The P2V is a large twin propeller engine aircraft that carries torpedoes and depth charges to sunk enemy submarines. (Cost: 20)
F8U ‘Crusader’ Naval Fighter Aircraft Unit: The F8U is a large naval single engine jet fighter. It carries a good cannon and anti-aircraft missiles for attacking enemy aircraft. Its main mission is air superiority. It is fast and maneuverable. (Cost: 19, can be based on carriers)
F3H ‘Demon’ Naval Fighter/Attack Aircraft Unit: The F3H is a small all-weather single engine jet fighter. It carries 20mm cannons, anti-aircraft missiles and rockets. It is good against enemy fighters and enemy ground targets, ships and facilities. (Cost: 16, can be based on carriers)
A-1H ‘Skyraider’ Naval Attack Aircraft Unit: This is a modified version of the A-1E Skyraider that can operate off of carriers. It carries cannons, rockets and bombs for attacking enemy ground targets. (Cost: 14, can be based on carriers)
F9F ‘Cougar’ Naval Fighter Aircraft Unit: The Cougar is a small jet powered fighter that can fly off of carriers. Its main mission is close defense of the fleet. It carries 30mm cannons and anti-aircraft missiles. It is maneuverable and good in dog fights. It carries no anti-ground weapons. (Cost: 14, can be based on carriers)
A3D ‘Skywarrior’ Naval Strike Bomber Aircraft Unit: The A3D is a large twin engine jet strike bomber. It can carry a medium bomb load and anti-ship rockets. It can fly from carriers. It has no anti-aircraft defensive weapons though and it is slow. Its main mission is to bomb enemy ground units, facilities and ships. (Cost: 22, can be based on carriers)
A5 ‘Vigilante’ Naval Strike Bomber/Recon Aircraft Unit: The A5 is a large twin engine jet strike aircraft. It is fast and is a good low-level strike bomber. But its bomb load is small compared to the A3D so its main role is as a recon plane that can fly from the carriers. In this role it is very good and can outrun most enemy fighters on its recon runs. (Cost: 24, can be based on carriers, is recon plane)
A4D ‘Skyhawk’ Attack Aircraft Unit: The A4D is a small single engine jet attack plane. It carries cannons, rockets and bombs. Its main mission is to attack enemy ground units, facilities and ships. It is maneuverable enough to escape most enemy fighters but it carries no anti-aircraft missiles. (Cost: 18, can be based on carriers)
S-2B ‘Tracker’ Naval Anti-Submarine Patrol Aircraft Unit: The Tracker is a small twin-propeller anti-submarine aircraft. It is slow and defenseless against enemy fighters but it carries depth charges and torpedoes to sink enemy submarines. (Cost: 16, can be based on carriers)
H-34C ‘Choctaw’ Helicopter Transport Unit: ] The H-34C is a transport helicopter that can carry 1 Airborne Infantry Unit for landing assaults. It has no weapons. (Cost: 15, can carry 1 ‘Airborne Infantry Unit’)
Ground Units:
M60 ‘Patton’ Tank Unit: The M60 is a heavily upgraded version of the M48 and is the main American battle tank. It carries a 105mm main gun and several machine guns. Tanks are best used against enemy ground vehicles, they are weak against enemy aircraft and artillery. (Cost: 16)
M48 ‘Patton’ Tank Unit: The M48 is a useful tank in the American Army. Its main gun is a 90mm cannon and it has several machine guns. This tank isn’t as powerful as the M60 or M103 but it is cheap and reliable. (Cost: 12)
M41 ‘Walker Bulldog’ Light Tank Unit: The M41 is a small light tank that mounts a 76mm main gun and a machinegun. This tank is good for recon, escort and rapid assault work. It can’t go up against the latest Russian tanks but it is still an effective vehicle. (Cost: 8)
M103 Heavy Tank Unit: The M103 is a large and heavy tank used by the U.S. Army. It has heavy armor and a powerful 105mm main gun. Its main role is to support lighter tanks with long range fire power. (Cost: 20)
M113 Mechanized Infantry Unit: This unit uses the new M113 APC to carry troops and their equipment in battle field situations. The M113 has a .50cal machinegun on its roof and it has light amour. (Cost: 12)
Recon Unit: This unit has specially trained recon troops and Jeep 4x4 recon utility vehicles. Having recon units in your attacks make you more likely to beat enemy forces and you get better Intel on enemy positions etc.. (Cost: 10, is a recon unit)
Infantry Unit: This is the basic rifle unit. This unit is made up of soldiers mostly carrying M14 rifles. These troops fight in foot but they have 6x6 trucks to carry them from battlefield areas. Basic Infantry are good against most units but have no anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 7)
Airborne Paratrooper Infantry Unit: This unit is the same as the normal ‘Infantry Unit’ but these soldiers are trained to jump from aircraft and make airborne assaults from helicopters. (Cost: 12, can be paradropped from C-130 units, can make airborne assaults from H-34C helicopter units)
Marine Infantry Unit: This unit is made up of Marine rifle soldiers armed with M14 rifles, this unit also has LVTP6 amphibious tanks that can go from ship to shore. (Cost: 12)
M42 ‘Duster’ Anti-Aircraft Unit: The M42 Duster is a converted M41 vehicle that carries twin 20mm anti-aircraft/helicopter guns instead of the 76mm main gun. This unit is good against helicopters and low flying attack aircraft. (Cost: 14)
M44 155mm Self-Propelled Artillery Unit: The M44 is a tracked chassis mounting a 155mm artillery piece. Artillery is good for long range bombardments and support of other ground units. ALL artillery units are bad at direct combat. (Cost: 14)
M52 105mm Self-Propelled Artillery Unit: The M52 carries a small 105mm artillery piece but it is still a good artillery system for use with infantry units. (Cost: 10)
105mm Towed Artillery Unit: This unit is made up of towed 105mm artillery pieces, this unit also includes trucks to tow these guns. This unit isn’t as mobile as the self-propelled artillery units but is cheaper. (Cost: 6)
155mm Towed Artillery Unit: This unit is made up of towed 155mm artillery pieces, this unit also includes trucks to tow these guns. This unit isn’t as mobile as the self-propelled artillery units but is cheaper. (Cost: 9)
’Honest John’ Tactical Nuclear Rocket Unit: This unit has all the supporting vehicles and launching trucks needed to launch short range ‘Honest John’ nuclear rockets. These rockets can travel 10-15 miles to attack enemy units. (Cost: 24, is tactical nuclear rocket unit)
Naval Ships and Submarines:
’Forrestal’ Class Super Aircraft Carrier: The ‘Forrestal’ is the U.S Navy’s main large fleet carrier. It is very large and is a complex ship. The Forrestal can carry 5 units of any Naval Aircraft. (Cost: 60, can carry 5 Naval Aircraft Units)
’Kitty Hawk’ Class Super Aircraft Carrier: The ‘Kitty Hawk’ is the U.S Navy’s newest large fleet carrier. It is very large and is a complex ship. The Kitty Hawk class can carry 6 units of any Naval Aircraft. (Cost: 80, can carry 6 Naval Aircraft Units)
’Essex’ Class Aircraft Carrier: The ‘Essex’ class carriers are WW2 era designs that aren’t as big as the new Super Carriers but they are cheap. They can carry 3 Naval Aircraft Units. (Cost: 44, can carry 3 Naval Aircraft Units)
’Salem’ Class Cruiser: The Salem class is designed like a WW2 cruiser with massive guns and many AA guns but it also carries the Reglus anti-ship missile system. Cruisers are good against enemy ships and aircraft. (Cost: 40)
’Baltimore’ Class Cruiser: The Baltimore’s are also like WW2 cruisers but they carry new anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles systems. They are good fleet flagships and can fight in large scale surface battles. (Cost: 48)
’Long Beach’ Class Nuclear Powered Missile Cruiser: The Long Beach is the newest cruiser class in the U.S. Navy. It has a nuclear reactor for power and it carries advanced anti-ship and anti-aircraft missile systems. It is good for defending the fleet and attacking enemy ships. (Cost: 56)
’Leahy’ Class Missile Cruiser: The Leahy class carries large anti-ship missiles and advanced anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 50)
’Charles F. Adams’ Class Destroyer: This is a good multipurpose destroyer in the fleet. Destroyers carry anti-sub and anti-aircraft weapons. Their primary duty is escort, patrol and sub hunting. (Cost: 32)
’Gearing’ Class Destroyer: The Gearing class is a WW2 design that is still being updated. It carries good anti-aircraft weapons and adequate anti-sub weapons. (Cost: 28)
’Forrest Sherman’ Class Destroyer: This ship is the first US Destroyer type built with a new non-WW2 era design. It carries advanced anti-submarine weapons and good anti-aircraft weapons. (Cost: 36)
’Garcia’ Class Frigate: Frigates are smaller than destroyers but are faster and carry better anti-submarine weapons. The ‘Garcia’ is a good modern Frigate type. (Cost: 22)
’Brooke’ Class Missile Frigate: The Brooke class carries anti-ship and anti-submarine missile systems along with anti-sub systems. (Cost: 26)
’Thresher’ Class Nuclear Attack Submarine: The ‘Thresher’ class is the U.S Navy’s best nuclear powered attack submarine. It carries good torpedoes to attack enemy ships and submarines. (Cost: 56)
’Skipjack’ Class Fast Nuclear Attack Submarine: The Skipjack isn’t as advanced as the Thresher class but it is the fastest submarine in the U.S. Navy. Its torpedoes are for use against enemy ships and submarines. (Cost: 50)
’Skate’ Class Nuclear Attack Submarine: The ‘Skate’ class is an older design, but it still carries good anti-sub and anti-ship torpedoes. (Cost: 45)
’Ethan Allen’ Class Nuclear Powered Missile Submarine: The Ethan Allen carries torpedoes and 6 nuclear missiles of the ‘Polaris A2 type’ (Cost: 60, carries 8 ‘Polaris A2’ high power, medium range, nuclear missiles)
’Lafayette’ Class Nuclear Powered Missile Submarine: The Lafayette class carries torpedoes and 10 nuclear missiles of the ‘Polaris A2 type’ (Cost: 70, carries 10 ‘Polaris A2’ high power, medium range, nuclear missiles)
’Iwo Jima’ Class Amphibious Assault Ship: The ‘Iwo Jima’ looks like a small carrier but it can carry Marines and helicopters. It is used to launch amphibious assaults and to support the landing troops. It has light anti-air defenses. (Cost: 50, can carry 2 ground units)
’Raleigh’ Class Amphibious Assault Ship: ‘Raleigh’ class ships are for landing troops in assault landings. It carries light anti-air weapons. (Cost: 38, can carry 1 ground unit)
Transport Ship: Transport Ships are unarmed cargo ships that are just for moving units too and from friendly harbors and ESTABLISHED beach heads during assault landings. Each one can carry 2 ground units. (Cost: 25, can carry 2 ground units)
Unique Facilities:
’Titan-2 ICBM Launch Facility: The Titan-2 is America’s long range, high power ICBM. Each Titan-2 carries a high power warhead. This ‘Facility’ is actually a group of 6 silos and a command bunker. (Cost: 65, can launch 6 ‘Titan-2’ high power, long range nuclear missiles)
’Minuteman’ ICBM Launch Facility: This facility is a group of 8 ‘Minuteman’ missile silos and a command bunker. The Minuteman is a small medium-range, medium-power ICBM. (Cost: 50, can launch 8 ‘Minuteman’ medium range, medium power, nuclear missiles)
’Nike Ajax’ Anti-Aircraft Missile Battery: ‘Nike Ajax’ is America’s first major anti-aircraft missile. It is a good missile and has good range. This facility is actually a battery of a few dozen ‘Nike Ajax’ launchers, a command bunker and a RADAR facility. (Cost: 28)
’Nike Hercules’ Anti-Aircraft Missile Battery: This is a newer and better missile than the Ajax. It has longer range and is faster, it is also more accurate. This battery is a few dozen ‘Nike Hercules’ launchers, a command bunker and a RADAR/tracking building. (Cost: 37)
