Most of you people here suck, so this thread probably won't get much action, but out of the titans of American 80's metal, which is your favorite?
Metallica?
Megadeth?
Slayer?
Or Anthrax?
I'm going to have to say Metallica (and I think it's implied that I'm only talking about their first 5 albums...). Megadeth would probably be second, Slayer third, and Anthrax last.
Let's see...
Metallica's first five albums are pure genius.
Megadeth's Rust In Peace, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, and Countdown to Extinction are great, but I don't think they can match what Metallica's first 5 efforts have.
I absolutely love Slayer's Reign In Blood, but the rest of their stuff I only enjoy on occasion.
Anthrax's Among the Living is pretty good, but the only song of theirs that I really LOVE is "Madhouse".

I have to go with Pantera they knock everyone else off that list, hands down. They are no more so that sucks but they still rule my cd player !!!
