Unit Research Rules!
If you decide to research a new unit you can choose what type of unit you would like to research.
The Following Unit Types Cost 15 credits to research:
-New Mechanized Infantry Unit
-New Self-Propelled Artillery Unit
-New Rocket Artillery Unit
-New Recon Unit
-New Patrol Boat Class
-New Corvette Class
-New Transport Helicopter Unit
The Following unit types cost 20 credits to develop and take 2 turns to develop:
-New Attack Helicopter Unit
-New Assault Transport Helicopter Unit
-New Fighter Unit
-New Attack Unit
-New Air Transport Unit
-New Strike Bomber Unit
-New Frigate Class
The Following unit types cost 30 credits to develop and take 3 turns to research:
-Fighter/Attack Unit
-New VTOL Naval Fighter/Attack Unit
-New Naval Helicopter Transport Unit
-New Naval Anti-Ship/Anti-Sub Helicopter Unit
-New Naval (Carrier Capable) Fighter Unit
-New Naval (Carrier Capable) Attack/Strike Unit
-New Tank Unit
-New Anti-Ship/Anti-Submarine Patrol Aircraft
-New AEW AWACS Aircraft Unit
-New Diesel Attack Submarine Class
-New Destroyer Class
-New Missile Destroyer Class
-New Assault Landing Ship Class
-New Small Carrier Class (VTOL/Helicopter Carrier)
The Following unit types cost 50 credits and 5 turns to research:
-New Cruiser Class
-New Naval (Carrier Capable) Fighter/Attack Unit
-New Missile Cruiser Class
-New Diesel Powered Large Aircraft Carrier
-New Nuclear Powered Attack Submarine Class
-New Nuclear Powered Missile Submarine Class
-New Diesel Powered Missile Submarine
-New ‘Nuclear Capable’ Strike Bomber Unit
-New Strategic Bomber Unit
-New Stealth Attack Unit
-New Stealth Fighter Unit
The Following unit types cost 60 credits and 6 turns to research:
-New Nuclear Powered Super Carrier
-New Stealth ‘Nuclear Capable’ Bomber Unit
-New Stealth Fighter/Attack Unit

when ur researching ur unit u can just say the name of the unit u want researched if you wish (try to base it on real stuff being worekd on) or i can just make up a good unit for you ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

could some one explain the basic differences between all these different types of boats to me.
is it just the average size of the boat? or the 'standard' armament? or the types of units they are good against?

there are many diffrences, size, weapon systems, job in fleet , location when sailing in large groups, flagship status (or lack of), electronic systems etc..
