Welcome to the United States of America Nuclear Division

Basically I need to get up to speed on all information concerning nukes for me to start to think about doing this job.

This thread is also for any ideas on strategy etc, I will raise some questions later, but at the moment I need a few things cleared.

Research ... does it need to be done first?
Am I in control of buying warheads for the Navy, Army and Air Force? Am I in control of building missile silos, or is that under another department?

Once this is cleared we can discuss nuclear business …

Unless you want to waste countless sums of credits, the US Army will not need nukes.

you can start to build nukes right away, i would suggest this:

build a few missle silos well inside the US mainland (like in states like Colorado), but also you should work along with the Air Froce director and get a few B-52s w/ nuclear loads and keep them patrolling like the pacific ocean (especially around alaska) and atlantic ocean 24/7 (this is what the US did in the real Cold War)

Build 1 or 2 in Texas. That would most likely by the last places they'd look.

Put them near the El Paso/ New Mexico state border and hide them in the mountains.

most of the work was done at Los Alamos Labatory (in hte hills of northern NM)

its built on a mountain in a very remote location of hte state... my dad use to work there a few years back and this summer we went to NM and visited the lab area (its a very pretty part of the country, some of hte most amazing scenery you cna see anyway)

so, yes, most of the manhattan project was done in NM but alot of other labs around the US and the world did alot of 'pen and paper' work [Wink] [Smile]

I know the prices of the Launch facilities, but what are the prices for individual weapons for planes, subs or army missiles etc?

plane launched nuke price is in hte offical public INFO thread

each army rocket unit comes with short range nuclear rockets

so do the subs (they start off with how ever many nukes are listed but if they use them up you will need to pay 1/2 the price of the unit to 'refill them' again)
