Is it just me or is this one of the stupidest "fads" to grip the automobile world?

Yes that looks stupid, but if you get the right kind of wheels sometimes it can make a car look better and improve cornering. There are con's obviously.

I think the Rims deal will be around for a long time. I like Rims as long as they go with the car but what really pisses me off is when you have a SUV above and you get the low profile wheels (and possibly lowered) and you can't even go across railroad tracks because the shit drags. What is the damn point in it. Someone please enlighten me.
