so if i build 10 satelites, even if i get wiped out of the game i could fire 100 nukes all over the planet? thats bs it should be one nuke per saterlite per turn otherwise it will just turn into a nuclear holocaust by turn 20 and after 10 are fired they should be obsolete [ August 01, 2002, 01:24: Message edited by: 2-D ]

-------------------- Decima MAS \ When ancient Rome was near defeat, the invincible Tenth Legion was raised: they beat the barbarians on the battlefield and Rome gained peace with honour again. When the traitor, on September the eighth, left the fatherland in infamy, the Tenth Flotilla was raised from the sea and it brought weapons at the cry for honour!
Oh our Tenth Flotilla, you that mocked England, you victorious on Alexandria, Malta, Souda and Gibraltar, you already victorious upon the sea, now even on the dry land you will win!
To you Italian ships, stolen from us not in battle but by treason, and to you, our prisoners and dead brothers, we swear: we swear that we'll came back, let this be God's and the Flag's will. We swear that we'll fight until we obtain an honourable peace!

I thought the idea of multiple heads was to confuse anti isbms, so all of the multi heads hit one target??

From what I have read the initial idea of the original MICBM's was to confuse patriot type systems, each warhead is smaller and lands around one target.

I never really listed the amount of nukes each MIRV had becuase i thought that each game would end before big nukings began
a MIRV warhead is made so one payload system (missile or satellite) can deliever diffrent ones, each one drops from the main payload and finds its own target, i posted some sites about it ^^

these MIRV pictures should show you how this system works:
quote: The top section of the Peacekeeper is the re-entry system. It consists of the deployment module, up to 10 cone-shaped re-entry vehicles and a protective shroud. The shroud protects the re-entry vehicles during ascent. It is topped with a nose cap, containing a rocket motor to separate it from the deployment module.
The deployment module provides structural support for the re-entry vehicles and carries the electronics needed to activate and deploy them. The vehicles are covered with material to protect them during re-entry through the atmosphere to their targets and are mechanically attached to the deployment module. The attachments are unlatched by gas pressure from an explosive cartridge broken by small, exploding bolts, which free the re-entry vehicles, allowing them to separate from the deployment module with minimum disturbance. Each deployed re-entry vehicle follows a ballistic path to its target.

Is very displeased with frances lies about a greater europe and strongly encourages THE FALLEN LORD 99 and Kenny to launch an attack on france.
Now for the counter attack... First i let loose my mulitple nuclear bombs onto 2d and frances Cities and armies, Junglists Airliner fleet, and britians boats in the medditeranian, and finally one more on britains navy base in pakistan
sends in 2 armoured divisions to southern rome to intercept the marine divisions.
Rome having 2 artillary units, attack 2ds airplanes attempting to bomb the city and the one in naples fires full force onto the oncoming bomber.
sends these units to intercept the attack from the alps 1 Motorized Inf. Division, 1 Fighter Squadron, 1 Marine Unit 4 special forces divisions 2 armored division 7 cavalry divisions 1 attack squadron
Lets see what mr botto has to say

Well almost every country has some kind of back-up plan, and it would be days before any landing forces would occupy Rome
Thats the limitation with this kind of game, alot of stuff is left up to the imagination
The US and Russia (and the U.K. i can imagine) have back up systems that can activate their nuclear systems even with the capital destoryed so we can imagine that Italy would have one if they had developed MIRV satellites

Can take out silos, or a town or a city. Each satalite should have no more that 2 MIRVs with no more than 5 independant warheads

each satellite will have 10 indepdent warheads, agreed
as for their power, i will use the power of the U.S. MIRV warheads (russian ones were much more powerful)
400 kilotons, about 23x times more powerful than the weapons dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki
as for the targets, Mason will have to decide that

ok, so the outcome begins, i will do the nukes first..
The two MIRV Satellites hover quietly in suspended animation over a quiet Earth. They are oblvious to the fact that a major war is equpting below them. Down in Rome a war is raging, aircraft are battling over the city, the Italian President opens the 'box'. The 'box' is a special suit-case sized trasmitter for activating Italy's two MIRV satellities. He pauses for a moment before he turns the key to activate the satellites, he thinks of how many German and French children will die and how many more of their parents will.... but then he remebers.... They attacked mother Italy first, this is our vengange... The key turns and a clicking sound tells him the signal is going.
The satellites sit in the deafening quiet, cold and icy. The signal reaches their transmitter and they awake from their icy sleep. They know what to do, their trusters fire and ice breaks off the satellite's compenents. The first satellite moves into position over europe. Its cavernous 'mouth' opens and the covering 'shell' breaks off, revealing the 10 warheads huddled together in their holding platform. Another signal and the ejection charges fire, the MIRVs move slowly off the platform like a herd of thermo-nuclear sheep. Each warhead's rocket fires and they move down towards a war filled Earth. The warheads 'buddy up' and scream down the atmosphere towards their targets...
The traffic in Paris was as bad as it always was. Michel's car was stuck and he needed to pickup his girlfriend! What a shame! How was he gonna get laid if he was late!??! Whats that noise? thinks Michel... He hears from his stopped Puegot a few more booms.. They sound like sonic booms...? over the city? No... can't be.... he thinks...
The two MIRVs heading for Paris are heading for their pre-programed points, parachute burst out as they reach the destined attltiudes..
Michel looks up, he can see two tiny specks in the sky.. What are they? Planes?
As he looks up they detotnate...
A blinding burst and Michel's young body is evaporated... the two MIRVs airbust over Paris, at the same time over other cities in France, Austria, Germany and Britain...
The first satellite has done its work and enters the atmosphere to burn up... the second one lines up and fires off its deadly hatchlings...
The Royal Navy fleet sits of the Italian coast... its aircraft raining death on Italians.. The main RN nuclear carrier sits like a majestic giant. A symbol of English Power and might, the same power and might that had defeated the Spanish, French, Nazis and countless other enemies of the empire. But not a soul on the carrier knew what was coming...
A RN Harrier jet hit the deck with a crack, its landing gear snapped, crews rushed out to save its pilot, as they ran out the sound of jet engines, turbines and countless other noises block out the twin sonic booms as the two MIRVs scream in. They airburst at 1,500 feet and within an instant twin thermo-nuclear mushroom clouds blanket the entire RN fleet. The carrier is crushed and its reactor explodes, adding to the explosion.
Nuke Looses:
French: 3x Armored Divs 1x Inf Div 1x Mech Inf Div 1x Fighter Squadron 1x Tactical Bomber Squadron
British: 1x Nuclear Carrier and its aircraft 1x Missile Crusier 1x Frigate
1x Armored Div 2x Motor Inf Div 1x Artillery Div
normal battle outcome coming up... [ August 01, 2002, 03:31: Message edited by: -gbotto600- ]

-Britain and France invade Italy!!
Italian MIRV Satellites rain thermo-nuclear death onto the enemy armies and fleet.
(Check above reply for nuclear looses!)
The remaining British and French forces skirmish with surprised Italian units.
Looses:
British: 1x Amoured Divison 1x Mechanized Infantry Divison 1x Artillery Unit 1x Marine Div
French: 1x Artilery Unit 1x Spec Ops
Italian: 1x Motorized Inf Div 1x Fighter Squadron 1x Marine Div 3x Spec Ops Units 4x Calvary Divs
British and French forces occup small parts of northern Italy and most of Italy south of Rome but their attack has bogged down and with the British Fleet off the shore having being 'microwaved' by twin bursts of therm-nuclear fire, the units in the south are now effeicevelty cut off.
